My "Jacquelin" doll has become a hit. How she evloved and the pictures below tell a little bit about her.
The painting aspect of the crafts is new to me but is something that i've always dreamed of doing but would never try since i could barely draw stick people! Give me a pair of scissors and I can create the Blessed Mother, a kings crown, Santa's sleigh, etc. and, the creations are precious. Even though I was the oldest of four, the real artists in my family were my sister, brother & my Dad. A good friend convinced me that I really could do this - painting, that is - so I gave it a whirl and what a joy - I love it!
My parents always wanted me to open my own shop either on my own or with my sister but she lives too far away. They always said if they had the funds, they would get me going, but I didn't have the time nor the funds to think about a shop during those years.
However, I am selling my items and, perhaps, will have a table at a craft fair one of these days. If there is any item you see on this site that you would like to purchase or something that you would like specially crafted, please contact me via the link below.

"My name, Jacquelin, was created because a dear friend of 20 years, died very unexpectadly of a heart attack, barely 50 [12/02].
Facing cancer surgery in '93, Jackie made an appointment with me for the morning following my surgery to fix my hair [not only was she my friend but, she was my hairdresser]. Arriving with the necessary tools, not only did she fix my hair & assist with my makeup, she also brought me a larger, bean filled doll she'd created. The doll, has been on our sofa ever since.
As a tribute to my dear and generous friend, "Jacquelin" evolved as a "rememberance". It's my hope to make different versions of her and sell them..."
